These days the only time I have for myself are very early in the morning, or late at night. And I’m usually out cold by midnight because of the day’s work. Whoever said being unemployed meant lazing about?
I’ve been avoiding Facebook because the albums and statuses are making me depressed. See I’ve gone back to not registering that I really am done with 4 years of law school, subject to my results insya Allah, but it’s hard to ignore that fact when all your friends are saying how much they already miss uni. So I’ve resolved to only sign in only long enough to respond to football/friend requests/book suggestions/messages in need of replies, before logging out again.
So what was I doing this time last year?
I was into Owen Pallett’s stuff.
I used to sing this with my youngest brother all the time, everywhere. In the car, in the house, we’d just sing this at the top of our lungs. The fact that Luqman actually knows the words to a Joanna Newsom original probably means I’ve left it playing for too long.
I should get him to sing to Fiona Apple next time. Tee hee.
