It’s a collective sigh of relief from the rest of the world.
I don’t envy the 44th President-elect of the US. He has got an entire mountain of issues to deal with once he steps into office. He sums it up himself: “two wars, a planet in peril, the worst financial crisis in a century.”
Good luck with that, Mr. Obama, sir.
I bet even Bush’s been waiting to get the heck out of the White House for a long time now. And to put it in the politest terms possible:
“GOOD RIDDANCE!”
I hope the world’s hope for change and better relations with the US will materialise for the better, and hopefully Obama’s the right person to do it.
We’ll see.
