It’s one of those days when I turn into a complete sap, for reasons unknown.
“Do not speak as loud as my heart”
—————
The movie marathon has begun.
I couldn’t sleep last night, so we put on del Toro’s ‘El Orfanato‘ (The Orphanage) on Lutfi’s laptop to while the hours away.
Usually I can’t watch horror films; I don’t appreciate being made to jump out of my skin at every creepy scene (read: I scare easily), and I’d like to actually watch an entire film without having to cover my eyes.
This movie was different, in a very good way. Warm, moving, ironic, open to debate. It doesn’t insult your intelligence. It had its freaky moments, but it was more sad than scary. I was blubbering once it ended.
Maybe that’s why I’m feeling a bit out of sorts today.
Enough said here.
