Aku pulang tanpa dendam

I refuse to let one brief moment ruin an otherwise good day. Though that one moment made me flinch and recoil with distaste and disappointment, I can’t have it stain the better points of today. It surprises me how my stomach lurches whenever I think back on that moment, and how much I resent it, but no good will come out of harping on a glass half empty. It’ll take time, but soon this will pass and I will leave it behind for good.

I liked today. Although it wasn’t fruitful academic-wise, at the end of it, I felt what Amélie Poulain must have felt after watching Dominique Bretodeau reunited with all of his childhood memorabilia, as she crossed the road and later walked a blind man through the streets of Paris. A great sense of satisfaction, at peace with the world.

I’ve abandoned Zaid Ibrahim’s “In Good Faith” and Nicholas J. McBride’s “Letters to a Law Student”, and opted to start on Khaled Hosseini’s “A Thousand Splendid Suns” instead. I regret my decision; I can’t put the book down at all, hence out goes my plan to juggle all 3 books at one go.

The Parliament’s been dissolved today. The race is on, so it seems. Will 2008 bring any change at all? One wonders.

Enough said here.
