Like a reflective drive through a winter day.

Currently Playing: Electric President-Good Morning, Hypocrite.

Seems like the roads stretch out like veins, but there’s no heart.
Nature’s haircut is concrete now, and we played our part.
So we sing …

It’s beginning to get to me. What it is exactly, your guess is as good as mine.

But what I do know is that it’s really getting to me.

I was flipping channels the other day and by chance caught Snow Patrol’s Open Your Eyes video. I just sat there transfixed, a settling calm washing over. It wasn’t the song really (although its a great track), nor was there anything particularly spectacular about the video itself, but the feeling of driving on and on and on with no exact destination in mind just felt so tantalisingly liberating. The fact that there was no traffic in the video was a definite added bonus.

Now, if only the petrol prices weren’t so unreasonably high…

I need a little escape. From what, I don’t know. I might figure it out along the way, but as for now, I have this really strong urge to split for a while.

If I could, I would. I’d press the pedal to the floor with no second thoughts and I wouldn’t look back until everything familiar disappears from the rear view mirror…unless I have to reverse the car out of the driveway lah. That one, no choice.

The only thing holding me back is the lack of financial resources…
and the thought of leaving my family behind.

Enough said here.

Ps-What is it with me and cars and roads anyway? Kapal terbang lagi cepat apa?

I don’t know about you. But, I suppose we opt to drive rather than fly because when we drive, we are in control. And situations like these, we’d like that. Well that’s what I think.

And hey, when flying, you just see clouds. It’s the pre and post flight that excites us. Other than that, it’s pretty cloudy, don’t you think? Driving offers so much more for you to see. Okay, stop. I don’t even know what I am talking about.

r u running away or something? lol. yeah, i’m really getting the hang of driving a manual now! i just want to drive across europe like dulu. austria and switzerland is just amazing to drive thru. as for holland, i think i nak basikal je la :-)

Azlan:
For someone who doesn’t know what he’s talking about, you sure make a whole lot of sense.
I concur.

Running away? Lol…well, why not? :)

Btw, speaking of driving, have you driven 14 hundred KM cross-country before? Yay, beat you to it!
