Currently Playing: Explosions In The Sky-Day 5.
I’m back.
Finally.
After more than a week of toiling over books and notes, the bird is returning to her nest for the next couple of weeks or so.
Subhanallah, but it was an experience while it lasted…
And I’m beat.
Which is why I’m spewing semi-comprehensible incomplete sentences at present time.
I owe the brilliance of this entry’s title to Explosions In The Sky…its the most accurate theme I can think of.
If you like postmodern, progressive, instrumental indie rock, give them a go.
The thing about examinations is that they leave me devoid of any sense of time, a symptom I hear is quite common.
Days and time are divided into categories: the days when there’s a paper to sit for, or the moment the time comes to pray. Thank God for the azan–it pops the bubble of detachment from the rest of the world.
Other than that, its either the time you study…or the time you don’t.
Stress kan?
But anyways, that’s over and done with, at least til the next semester ends.
As for now, I find it apt to quote from Grey’s Anatomy the following line:
"Why do I keep hitting myself with a hammer? Because it feels so good when I stop."
Well, I’ve stopped the hitting and the hammering, and now it really does feel good.
Give me a few days to recuperate and regain that sense of time I’ve lost, and then ask me out for coffee or something.
I might just say yes.
Happy holidays!
Enough said here.
