We’ll make mud angels, you and I.

I think Ummi must have sent the car for service. For one thing, I didn’t have to use much effort on the accelerator to get it going a solid speed. There’s nothing like a good speed on the highway to clear the head and de-stress the mind.

So what do you do when you have a bad day?

You know.

When practically everything systematically goes wrong for you, and there’s this warped feeling lingering in the air that there are sinister forces at work, calculating the precise amount of negative karma to hurl at you; not too much, but just subtly enough for you to feel like self-destructing…

…ok, maybe that’s a little bit overdramatic…

but what do you do?

I think its essential to remember that no matter how unbearably burdened I feel…

in reality, I am very much overwhelmingly blessed.

Ummi once told me that sometimes when we are faced with something that looks so impossible to deal with, and we tilt our heads upwards towards the sky asking why me?, the truth is that its a way of Him taking notice of us. The reason why He gives us particularly difficult tests which seem to be a fair bit more than everyone else’s share, is because He has seen you, out of the many many faces existing on Earth, and He wants to give you the opportunity to prove yourself in your Iman in that situation.

"The bigger the test, the bigger the reward for passing."

Subhanallah. Imagine that feeling of being noticed…its an honour in which its magnitude is simply beyond words.

Of course, we have supplements to keep us going just in case we feel like throwing in the towel as well:

"Allah does not burden any soul with more than it can bear." 2:286

Suddenly, I feel a whole lot better.

To Lutfi who will be coming home soon, and the rest of my "little brothers" (all 3 of you) who are done with their AUSMAT finals, congratulations on having completed what I hear is a killer course, and coming out all in one piece, Alhamdulillah.

I’ll be praying for all of you. =)

Enough said here.

Thank You.

Albeit we are not ALL done yet. Commerce students have yet to sit for their final paper, Accounts. Which means our hard-rockin stints will have to wait for Hamizan. We have much to share before we go our separate ways.

Hamizan - Monash University, Melbourne
Safwan - University of Queensland, Sydney
Azham - Lincoln University, Christchurch
LSG - Massey University, Wellington

Apparently people have a general idea who will be marrying who in the next coupla years. Now, what was her name again? =D

huhu thanx a lot! =)
