Game over. We win.

We did it.

20th November 2006 will always be the mark of a historic moment of triumph and a day that conquered The Jinx.

Snort away at the ridiculousness of the above statement, but I am putting this down.

The story goes like this:

On 20th March 2005, a friend of mine had her 19th birthday and invited me to go out for a quick bite to celebrate. Since it was smack in the middle of the matrics finals at that time, and being the worry wart that I was, I politely declined and proposed another outing with her after the exams ended.

Since that faetful day, that proposal had never materialised…up until last Monday, that is.

Aufa and I had jokingly called it The Jinx, but after a few dozen failed appointments, it wasn’t so funny anymore.

No matter how much we planned and attempted to sneak in at least one quick outing together, we either had to postphone/cancel everything because of our busy schedules or some other insane reason, like sudden family emergencies cropping up. Now I view family obligations as importantly as the next person, but the peculiar timings of these incidents that happen to both of us had us convinced that indeed, some malicious Jinx was definitely at fault.

Or maybe that was just a scapegoat for both of us to relieve some of our own guilt. QuiƩn sabe? ;)

This time around though, we decided that enough was enough, and that it was time to kick this little Jinx’s butt once and for all.

And so, despite some, er, minor complications that arose on Monday morning (Jinx’s last attempt to screw up the plan yet again), we finally accomplished (what was to be calculated later) a 20 month old plan.

The Reign of the Jinx has finally ended.

Sounds corny? You bet!

Proof_1 Death Note. Where we laughed at all the wrong moments.

Its funny how the number 20 is predominant throughout this entire story. It began on the 20th, ended on the 20th, lasted for a period of 20 months, and guess our ages?

Coincidence? I think…yeah, perhaps.

Enough said here.

That very last bit…. cute. No, really, I truly mean it = )

Never knew the number 20 is widely related to luck and things of that sort. Btw, did you girls go out on your own twosome? We so need another outing like the one to Marche (or however you spell it) seeing as I (typically) missed that one = /

Marche? the 30 persons dining experience? haha! that was awesome.
yes lubna, it was great to bump into u guys! such coincidence on the day u guys ended the jinx, me and nadiah bumped into u guys ;-)

Faz:
Yup, it was just us. That Marche outing? I missed that one too. Haha.
There’ll be another one, definitely. We’ve all still got quite a long way to go together. ;)
Najia:
Yeah man, you bore witness to the changing of tides! Ice cream was fun (no weight jokes!) and meeting Nadiah was just great. Jumpa jugak that girl akhirnya. =)

babe how was death note?

Mardy:
Death Note was actually quite good. The ending was a cliffhanger, and already I’m looking forward to the next one. One caution though: watch it if you don’t mind tacky CGI effects.

That’s one thing I can’t stand la. Thats why I cam takleh tengok lol.
