Point blank: European Air

Assalamualaikum and hello to all you beautiful people!

I’m back safe, Alhamdulillah. Jet lag hasn’t settled in yet and despite sleeping at 2am last night after a long phone call to Lutfi, I got up this morning to send the kids to school as usual. The whole routine just never broke off; it’s like I never left.

The UK was:

"2 guys, a girl and a car. Road trips. Wrong turns. Long walks. Picturesque. Friendly locals. Fish and Chips."

The guys were great, by the way. Perfect gentlemen who went out of their way to make me feel like a "queen" (kepada mereka yang memahami maksud yang tersirat dalam perkataan ini, as it is customary: jangan gelaaak) and though I inisisted on roughing it out on some things with them, they were adamant that I would not be treated like one of the guys, but a proper lady. It left me torn between frustration and flattery. Haha.

But enough.

So what’s been going on since I left?

Tip-News on the World Cup would very much help since I haven’t been following it.

You’d think being close to where all the action is, I’d know better, but watching English fans take to the streets in all out En-ger-land fashion and making lots of noise (Come On England!) was the best whiff I got of the games. Dang it.

But really. What’s been happening?

For the sake of signature:

Enough said here.

Even though I risk being labelled a no lifer for the fact I check on the net every other second, I don’t care to be the first to greet you back. A whole different story this one is, so on to business.

Babes, you’re back!! = ) *tries to contain self* Welcome home, gal = ) Short as it was your description of the UK trip, it still sounds like you had bundles of fun = ) If it was not you, I’d be turning a rough shade of green already *_*

As of for the WC, whoa, babes, you, not watching it, that would just be wrong, wouldn’t it now? Since you’re supporting team England, I’d leave it for a fellow England supporter to fill you in the details aite = ) As of the teams that made it to Round of 16s, those tht am aware of are Germany, Spain, Brazil (duh), England (sighs), Argentina (woohoo!!) and others tht are not really on top of me head right now.

Well, welcome home once again. I’d say you still owe us all full details of the trip, mind ; )

Welcome back, Lubna! I missed you! =) Yeah, even though you didn’t actually spill the entire can of beans, I’m pretty sure you enjoyed yourself!

I’m an Espanyol and England fan, gf. So let’s see. Hmm… Spain is doing really great! They’ve won both matches and they’re going to embarrass Saudi Arabia in a couple of days! I-Allah :D
And as for England, well. They’re just full of themselves. Really. Today’s match with Sweden was devastating. They were doing really great in the 1st half, keeping the ball in their possession and that fantastic goal by A. Cole sealed victory for them. UNTIL 2nd half came along and they were playing like typical English-men. Dumb football. Defense was horrible! Everytime ade corner kick, everyone would be in the penalty box! How embarrassing is that? Thank God our fellow Anfield player, Gerrard, SORT of boosted the English spirit, even if it was only for like 5 minutes. *sigh* And all that fuss about Rooney being the Miracle Man? Crap. Anyway, I want them to lose against Ecuador. I don’t think so but I hope so. Sorry! Hahaha.

Hope to see you online now! So we can chat!

welcome home…so you’re home and i’m still away! hahaha…
you? not watching World Cup? the world must have flipped to the side a bit…i mean, not that i would notice it even if it did, with the exams and all..
Anyways, my teams this time are Germany and the Czechs; I’ve been watching them since Day One..I have a bit of good sentiment for the Socceroos as the underdogs (for obvious reasons, of course)..my good circle of teams include Holland, Spain, and Argentina..AND I absolutely HATE England!!! I mean my affections for Chelsea is a whole different altogether, mind you, but I just don’t get why the England can be so confident of winning the World Cup while they play such thrashy games…for all 3 times they played! They barely scraped through the next round…
Enough.Enough now.So you in 2 weeks time!

ok constitutional law has totally gotten into me…
Corrections:
1.I mean, my affections for Chelsea is a whole different thing altogether.
2.So, see you in 2 weeks time!

ah, world cup. england has been very lucky…they didn’t play magnificently but managed to win the matches. i’m rooting for england and holland…germany has got a good chance of winning, they’ve got a really strong team. ecuador is showing to be pretty solid as well.

after ur jet lag, u have to update ur blog more than that. That’s like, a summary of ur life in UK. a very short summary that SPM pun x terima. what happend to the Lubna-My-Shortest-Essay-is-300 pages?

I know you too well. I knew u werent gonna blog bout this. In fact, i only said tht u were, to assure myself tht u werent. No joke. Trust me. Its either too much blog worthy material tht u didnt blog, or u just want to prove me wrong. Either way, i win.

Nurbaiyah, it was Joe Cole, NOT Ashley Cole. In fact, Ashleys blundering defence cost the English-Swede classic deadlock. Get this, neither team have ever won against each other.

‘Nurbaiyah, it was Joe Cole, NOT Ashley Cole’

I thought so but since I was too lazy to check the stat online, I left it at there. Thanx for the clearance. Bothered me for a bit, that one did.
