I have a very annoyed mother downstairs at the moment and I can’t blame her. My room looks like a stampede just rammed through it and I haven’t done half of what I had, ahem, planned on doing this week.
I’ve been reading a lot of blogs lately and I realise one thing: I’m bloody too formal when I write this thing. It’s getting annoying, I tried to start out today’s entry as casually and as naturally as I could, and I found myself grimacing at each word. Ugh. What a sorry sod I am.
Nothing interesting for today. I finally made that list I was supposed to make ages ago, I still haven’t found my CD or DVD, I’ve lost my beloved mechanical pencil and thinking about all this isn’t really going to end my day on a good note so I’ll stop.
Oh yes, there was that fun bit on name-hunting for babies. Does anyone here know who would name their child ‘mustard seed’? No joke, it was on a website for babies names. Think of the possiblities. One of the rights a child has over his parents is to be given a good name. Ah, children. =) Some people really have all the luck. Sigh. It is oft said that the strongest of faith can be found in a child’s heart.
There was once a boy who had approached Rasulullah SAW, complaining that his father had named him ‘Baby Chicken’. Seriously. Imagine that in today’s scenario:
‘Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you the most revered scholar on history and civilisation from Oxford University, Professor Baby Chicken!’
or
‘On Malaysia’s Most Wanted tonight, we shall be discussing the profile of one the most notorious criminals of all time, Baby Chicken!’
I doubt anyone would survive kindergarten with a name like that.
I wonder why the people who send me Friendster messages ask me what my real name is. Isn’t Lubna a real enough sounding name?
That aside, all rapists, serial or not, should be castrated in the most gory way possible and then shot by a firing squad. Period. How come there’s been no such Bill proposed to Parliament? I’m going to have to do something about that.
Sigh. Sent Lutfi off for ausmat today. Miss him already.
Enough said here.
