Cheshire Cat : If you really want to know, he went that way.

Alice            : Who did?

Cheshire Cat : The White Rabbit.

Alice            : He did?

Cheshire Cat : He did what?

Alice             : Went that way.

Cheshire Cat  : Who did?

Alice             : The White Rabbit!

Cheshire Cat  : What rabbit?

(Alice in Wonderland).

Why I begin my entries with quotes and excerpts, I don’t know. I particularly liked this one from Alice in Wonderland. Oh yes, and the one below.

Cheshire Cat: You’re mad. I’m mad. We’re all mad.

Lol. Aren’t we all?

Speaking of cats, I watched Lutfi bathe Chief and Halo yesterday. Hilarious really, they’ve all smartened up and learnt to make a run for it now. He was chasing them like mad down the alley. I should have helped, but when a girl’s in an apron with a wooden spoon in one hand…best leave her alone lest people want cat fur in their desert.

Speaking of desert, I tried making some for my grandmama yesterday. Alright, it isn’t anything to be proud of. Even an idiot would know how to make jell-o. Of course, being the utter, perpetually kitchen-inept person I am, something went wrong. I didn’t use enough something, or perhaps used too much something. Here, I shall refrain from describing the details of what was the result of the whole mishap to avoid scaring my readers. I emerged unscathed, which is more than I can say for the thing staring back at me from the stove.

I had a nice time yesterday. Z invited me out since we haven’t seen each other for such a long time, so I suggested a little book-shopping, and then a picnic at the park near her house. Things went smoothly enough and Z, don’t worry about those tiny glitches we had. It made the whole experience rather funny. =)

Its been so long since I last book-shopped, and I got so depressed going into the store yesterday. Yes, my dears, you read correct. DEPRESSED. There were so many books, so little time! I’m so far behind in the literary world, its downright annoying. *sob sob* I must have looked so misplaced standing there, what with my wide eyes and gaping mouth. I had a tight budget, and the books that I wanted (I Saw Ramallah + The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy) were all out of stock, to my disappointment. So I settled for The Da Vinci Code since there’s been a lot of hype about it. The lady at the counter was saying how good it was, so I guess it must be a good buy. I’m deliberately reading it slowly at the moment so that I won’t be in dire need of any new books before the holidays end.

Sad to say, it was pretty late by the time Z and I got to the park, but we decided to go ahead with the plan anyway. After clearing up that tiny spill in the car (no worries, Z =p) and getting over the horror of seeing old, wrinkly men peel off their wet shirts after a run, we settled for a spot next to the lake and laid out what we brought. I can’t cook to save my behind, but at least I now know I can make killer sandwiches. I have my food critics to certify that. ;) There’s something satisfying about munching loudly on potato chips (read: junk food) when people all around you are sweating their pants off trying to get healthy. Lol. It was too bad the picnic had to end the way it did, all hurried and rushed. Another day to commune with nature, eh Z?

Bummer. Is it just me, or does Streamyx have this secret agenda against me whenever I’m online? The connection’s been rather, well, sucky, these past few days. Wow. I just used a grammatically-incorrect word. Hell’s frozen up, a pig just flew by.

It feels so good to wake up really early, for once. There’s something calming about listening to Tchaikovsky when it looks so dreary outside.

I’m off. My Josh Groban CD is missing, and I know that Last Samurai DVD is somewhere in this house.

I’m going to find them, if its the last thing I do.

Enough said here.
